Matt and Tretura at the Oklahoma State Fair

One of the main reasons I went to the Oklahoma State Fair this year was to see Matt's band, Tretura, play.

And they were good.

More importantly, they looked like they were having a really good time.

The crowd seemed to be having a good time too.

One guy even picked up an entire bench and dragged it over to a better spot in the shade so he could sit comfortably and listen.

That is commitment.

Of course, I was watching the drummer. Matt broke a few drumsticks. He had to adjust one of his drums a couple of times. He dropped a stick. He fumbled a stick. And he kept right on playing.

I took plenty of pictures.

They played great, everyone seemed to have a good time, and I was glad I made the trip out to see them.

Even if I did still have to find my car afterward.

Catch Tretura in Chickasha on October 30

If you missed Tretura at the Oklahoma State Fair, you'll have another chance to catch them.

They're playing Firehouse & Fluff 2'Nuff on Friday, October 30, at Legends Event Park, 4204 S. 4th Street in Chickasha, Oklahoma.

Doors open at 5:00 p.m., and the event begins at 5:30 p.m. It's an outdoor, all-ages event.

Come out and enjoy some live music!

Thanks for reading The 3rd Flamingo, for art lovers, creative wanderers, and anyone who’s ever made a beautiful mess.
